Las Vegas, NV

Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort

54 Pete Dye holes in the empty desert — with Las Vegas waiting after dark.

The place

Twenty-five minutes northwest of the Strip, the Las Vegas Paiute Tribe's resort spreads three Pete Dye courses — Snow Mountain, Sun Mountain and the Wolf — across open desert beneath the Spring Mountains, with no houses and no traffic noise. The Wolf is the headliner, complete with an island-green par-3; Snow Mountain is the local favorite for pure fun. Base the crew off-Strip for calm and pool time, then dip into the city's steakhouses, shows and tables exactly as much as the group can handle. High rollers staying at an MGM property can pursue the ultimate add-on: Fazio's exclusive Shadow Creek.

Where you crash

The resort

Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa

The polished Summerlin local's resort — big pool scene, dozens of restaurants, and a fifteen-minute run to Paiute without touching Strip traffic.

◆ The private house

The Private House

A Summerlin pool home with a view of the Spring Mountains — quiet nights when you want them, twenty minutes to Paiute and to the Strip when you don't. Group rentals are plentiful and well-priced.

5-6 BR · sleeps 10-12 · ~$800–$3,000/nt

The 5-day plan

  1. 1

Fly in & first night out

AM Fly into Las Vegas — flights land cheap and often.

PM Check in off-Strip, pool hour, then a steakhouse dinner and one measured lap of the Strip.

  2. 2

    Sun Mountain

AM Open easy on Sun Mountain.

PM Pool and recovery; dinner in Summerlin, early-ish night.

  3. 3

    Snow Mountain (36 optional)

AM The crowd favorite — birdies available.

PM Diehards replay; others hit the sportsbook. Show or big dinner downtown.

  4. 4

    The Wolf — the Cup

AM The team match on the Wolf — the island green will pick the trophy's owner.

PM Trophy steaks, then one last calculated run at the tables.

  5. 5

    Late breakfast & home

AM Sleep it off, brunch, and an easy ride to the airport.

Why it wins

The best golf math in Vegas: three Pete Dye courses on one quiet property half an hour from the Strip, hotel rooms priced like nowhere else in resort golf, and a nightlife plan that writes itself. Splurge crews can chase a Shadow Creek invite.

Booking notes

Paiute runs multi-round packages across all three courses — book morning times, as desert wind builds by afternoon. Vegas hotel pricing swings wildly with conventions; midweek is the value play. Shadow Creek requires an MGM resort stay and a premium fee — have the concierge inquire early.
